Wonder Festival is an event that happens twice a year, once in January and once in July.  It’s a bit like Comiket except the focus is on figures and independent figures as opposed to art and books.  Though due to limited quantities, things sell out even faster than at Comiket.  Tons of planning and rushing is needed if you want to acquire what you want.

Thankfully, all I wanted were photos though!  I hope you enjoy the pictures!

Figures!

Cosplayers!

Yep, there are cosplayers at Wonderfes too!

As usual, all the extra pictures are in the gallery below!

    please give me your lens.

Wow, is Halo popular enough that some guy/girl would cosplay as Master Chief there? o.o

I didn’t think FPS games would be all that popular outside the U.S.

cool that you was able to go there, I would like to be at Wonfes once in my life ;D
Were you allowed to go close at the figures or is the security against this?
You’ve made some really nice pictures there, which lens have you used?

    • Thanks for the compliments. For the doujin figures you can get as close as the dealer wants, which us pretty close. They welcome the pictures and the publicity it brings. For corporate you’ll have to beat aside tons of Japanese people though.

Mist of the pics were shot with the canon 50mm f1.4 and some with the 24-70mm f2.8 L.
